- Tras este disco, Jackson 5 se separaron de la Motown y se pasaron al sello CBS Records, el cual les prometía más libertad en la composición de sus propios temas. Jermaine Jackson, quien se casó con la hija de Berry Gordy (fundador de Motown), abandonó el grupo para quedarse en Motown y comenzar su carrera en solitario, siendo sustituido por su hermano Randy Jackson.

- Los Jackson 5 se dieron a conocer al mundo entero en 1969 de la mano de la discográfica Motown, pero no fue dicha discográfica quien los "descubrió". Años atrás consiguieron firmar con una más pequeña llamada "Steeltown", para la que grabaron varias canciones, siendo "Big Boy" la que les dió algo de fama local. En 1996 se lanzó este disco que recoge muchas de las grabaciones de la época, las cuales eran de poca calidad pero un testimonio fidedigno del verdadero comienzo de este gran grupo.
